Research Interests
Our research interests span (1) understanding interfacial physics of various functional surfaces with micro- and nano-structures or coatings, (2) developing and studying new manufacturing techniques for mass production of those functional surfaces, and (3) finding their applications in our daily lives such as robots based on knowledge and experiences in Mechanical Engineering and Tribology.
Research Vision
Our research vision is to provide solutions to various surface-related challenges by understanding the fundamentals, developing new functional micro- and nano-structures through design & optimization, overcoming limitations in manufacturing, and finding suitable applications, which can satisfy requirements.
